Senior Business Analyst Rosemead,CA Basic Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of five years of experience with gap and trend analysis. Must have experience with business case development, process development, and documentation.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Library Science or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience conducting cost/benefit analysis.
- Demonstrated experience conducting benchmarking studies.
- Demonstrated experience performing feasibility studies.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing knowledge of database structure when extracting data and generating reports using Crystal Reports and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience using software tools to create and edit complex reports, graphs, and presentations, convert information from one format to another, use advanced functions, and generate non-standard reports from business applications/databases.
- Demonstrated experience providing recommendations and/or solutions to management.
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methods to support projects, gather budget information, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Demonstrate the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, management and other operating units.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to client's business needs.
- Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, overcome obstacles, and encourage others to accept challenging work while driving to achieve results.
- Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Preferences:
MBA. Project Management Certification. Certified Records Manager Certification. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Access.
Typical Responsibilities:
This position will be a Senior Business Analyst supporting Southern California Edison's (SCE) Information Governance department by conducting research, benchmarking, process mapping and feasibility studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cost/benefit and trend analysis as well as interpreting data, presenting findings and making recommendations and/or decisions in the areas of Corporate Governance, File Maintenance, and Information Lifecycle Management. Typical responsibilities include: Developing and documenting system business requirements and business plans; supporting strategic planning initiatives; compiling General Rate Case data; managing the documentation of Information Governance processes, procedures, and work instructions; completing monthly performance reports; gathering, documenting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions on complex data including operational effectiveness, technology, and five year strategic planning; planning all aspects of analyses, presentations, and implementation strategies for complex analysis; developing presentations to be given to corporate officers, executives, and management throughout the various business units pertaining to the various disciplines within Information Governance; supporting Project Managers by tracking and reporting on project performance; and performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
