With little to no supervision, provides all aspects of administrative and technical support to land staff and business unit personnel. Creates, loads, enters, verifies, manipulates, analyzes and reports data related to land activities. Provides user support for software systems to other land support and professional personnel. Possesses advanced knowledge of technology, terminology and procedures for the job function. Works independently to perform more complex tasks. Initiates and develops reliable data sources. Monitors and recommends new technologies for use by the organization.
Detailed Description
· Prepares initial lease record packages for transmittal to Lease Records · Processes rental, minimum royalty, expiration and other lease obligations · Creates and maintains land databases, file systems and obligations · Timely processes, verifies and routes operated and non-operated AFEs for approval · Identifies, reviews, codes, verifies and sets up for approval statements from contractors, brokers and attorneys · Maintains land expense tracking system and budget forecasts · Provides routine support duties in any or all land functions including data gathering, research, presentations and reports as required (incl. contracts, leases and other title documents) · Resolves questions, requests, issues and confirms working interest ownership rights · Researches, analyzes, briefs and generates various land contracts, legal instruments and State/Federal forms required for government regulatory compliance · Assists in due diligence required for acquisition and divestiture efforts · Prepares preliminary drilling schedules while cognizant of notification periods, equipment and contractor availability, and prepares reports related to current and proposed drilling activity
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree, preferred, with six years oil & gas experience or High school diploma (or equivalent) with eight or more years of oil & gas experience required · Eight or more years work experience required · Excellent analytical & mathematical skills · Excellent communication skills · Understanding of oil & gas industry · Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and Power Point Mastery of specific software systems, terminology and procedures
