COMPENSATION: Band DE: $50,321 through $72,127 - Assistant Engineer or Engineering Technologist Band EE: $57,869 through $82,946 - Associate Engineer or Engineering Technologist Band FE: $66,549 through $95,388 - Engineer or Engineering Technologist POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology - or an advanced degree in power systems - is required. An undergraduate concentration in power or advanced degree in power systems is desired. In addition, zero to two years related experience is required at the Assistant level; two to four years (2 - 4) related experience is required at the Associate level; and a minimum of five (5) years of related engineering experience is required for the Engineer/Technologist level. Substation electrical design experience or substation operations and maintenance experience is desired. Experience within a project based environment requiring adherence to schedules and budget constraints is desired. Qualified candidates must submit a resume with their application . POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual will be responsible for applying a diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices for substation projects. Individual will be responsible for independent decision making on engineering problems and methods; providing design guidance and/or designing new or modified transmission substations; analyzing and evaluating engineering problems, and developing and testing optimum solutions; providing technical assistance and direction to Company personnel and customers on substation matters; interfacing with other utilities, regulatory agencies, governmental units and contractors; and conducting and/or coordinating the development or installation of projects or studies. Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments. Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator''s license. This position is being posted internally and externally simultaneously.
