Brief Description
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing the related Major project and Infrastructure groups within the district associated with construction of gas plants, production facilities, Oil/Gas/Water pipeline, and oil handling plants. Compliance at these facilities as well as facility design and implementation throughout the district is a high priority. This position reports to the Major Project and Infrastructure manager and works closely with operations to ensure timely and on-budget completion of projects. This position will also work closely with other departments (e.g. EH&S, Regulatory, Marketing) as they coordinate all aspects of the projects including sales, compliance and permitting.
Detailed Description
· Manages performance of groups involved in construction and upgrades as well as daily operations · Manages direct reports to meet company objectives and project deadlines · Uses risk management tools to assess contractors and make informed decisions in rewarding work · Coordinates with EH&S and Regulatory for all required permits and compliance · Ensures operations comply with all corporate EH&S policies and governmental regulations · Understands OSHA s PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements and ensures compliance where applicable · Reviews existing facilities for capacity upgrades and de-bottlenecking opportunities · Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs · Develops and implements SOPs for plants as well as operations facility design · Provides facilities support to Wattenberg groups as needed including standard design drawings, PHAs and equipment specifications
Job Requirements
· Bachelor s degree in Engineering preferredor additional 3 years experience · Minimum 12 years experience in production and/or facilities engineering,Rockiesexperience preferred · Prior supervisory experience a plus · Familiarity with industry engineering design programs · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
