General Overview : Facilitates the rental of Borehole Enlargement products and services, over a specific area. The Account Manager will visit clients with or on behalf of other company Sales Representatives to assist in applications support, technology discussions, and solving process problems. In addition to supporting customers and growing the business, the Product Specialist must develop and maintain, through on the job as well as classroom training, a thorough understanding of all Borehole Enlargement tools and their respective applications.
The Account Manager is the key link between the customer and Operations. He/she must be closely involved and in constant contact with our customers so their needs and expectations can be met. For the Borehole Enlargement account manager, this means keeping up with drilling plans, knowing when Borehole Enlargement applications are planned and even identifying applications that may not be planned. The AM must also constantly keep the Operations team updated as to which tools are required and when they are required. This allows the Operations team to plan and ship tools at the appropriate time, as well as to dispatch Field Service Supervisors as necessary.
The AM must be technically competent in the operation, set-up and theory of all NOV BE tools (and have a basic understanding of competitor tools). During active BE jobs, the AM will spend a lot of time in the customer's office, reviewing daily operations and addressing questions and concerns as they arise. The AM will work with Operations team, and the BE product line to define and implement a plan for profitable growth in Mexico. The AM will also ensure that post-job communication is provided to the customers (run reports, investigation reports, case histories, etc). Finally, the AM will ensure all invoicing is performed correctly, accurately and in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new clients to grow the Borehole Enlargement business. * While primarily responsible for growing the Borehole Enlargement business, the Product Specialist will work very closely with the other team members within Downhole and will actively assist in ensuring the relevant personnel are informed in order to recognize opportunities that may not be directly related to Borehole Enlargement. * Report to Downhole Country Manager with dotted line into the Borehole Enlargement Product Line on sales activities, sales forecast and provide feedback on customer satisfaction as well as market intelligence. * Maintain communication with colleagues on market conditions and pricing. * Assist in quoting and negotiating prices and commercial terms & conditions. * Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines to identify new product developments. * Carry out formal presentations of Borehole Enlargement products. Attend and assist in promotional exhibitions and trade shows. * Supervise Customer Service Team and instill a culture of customer service and quality. · The first 60 - 90 days on the job will require extensive traveling for training on Borehole Enlargement and other disciplines that will be offered by NOV. · Making presentations, answering questions and instilling confidence. · Preparing reports and queries as required for various operations. · Ability to work as a liaison between the internal sales and technical groups in developing solutions to meet internal and external needs.

Experience and Education: · Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline · 3 years minimum technical experience in drilling industry, preferably with Borehole Enlargement products or equivalent experience with the product portfolio (MWD, directional drilling, drilling engineering, etc are acceptable) · Proven success in working with and satisfying the needs of customers
Job Requirements: This position will require 30-40% travel Observes safety regulations, wears required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to Management Adheres to all HSE requirements Will work very closely with Operations to ensure equipment and personnel are dispatched appropriately
