Job Scope : Our new Director of eCommerce will be responsible for growing our online business by developing a marketing plan that mixes content development, SEO, SEM, online advertising, PR, email marketing, video marketing, social media, partner product merchandising and more. The Director will lead a team of similarly passionate online marketers, including a skilled marketing and advertising coordinator and web content specialist while also having access to the broader resources of the AVI-SPL marketing department including graphic designers, web developers and bloggers. It is important that candidates have proven experience driving sales and managing operations for eCommerce sites. This is a senior role reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing with dotted line responsibility to the SVP of Sales. Job Requirements :
· Proven ability to allocate resources across multiple projects and oversee work-in-progress to meet business objectives. · Strong understanding of user-interface and user experience for online and mobile products. · Expert at translation of consumer insights into actionable creative strategies and breakthrough concepts that drive business results. · Significant interactive brand-building experience including: concept development, website design, identity design, and online marketing campaign development. · Creative supervision, mentoring and leading art direction and creative concept for designers, artists and writers. · Hands-on design of conceptual pitch materials, demos and marketing materials. · Demonstrate an understanding of how marketing, public relations and internal communications work together in support of a brand and corporate reputation. · Ability to stay current with design/interactive/marketing trends and find innovative ways to share them throughout the organization. · The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience managing B2B and B2C eCommerce. · All candidates must have 5+ years or comparable experience in online retail with a strong track record driving revenue and profit online. · Must possess outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting results & recommending new approaches to maximize revenue, margin, and profit. · The ability to leverage proven customer acquisition and retention strategies. · Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, grow and inspire teams. · An understanding of social media and how it is changing customer behaviors online. · Ability to work well across the organization and with supplier partners.
