EH&S Specialist IV-Construction Safety
Responsibilities
This position contributes to the success of Williams Midstream by providing subject matter expertise to all regions of the Midstream Engineering & Construction Leadership and Project Managers for physical risk control management practices and associated compliance requirements related primarily to construction projects.

This position will focus on shaping our safety culture and contributing to the success of the team by effectively integrating their safety expertise. The SR will proactively engage in assisting PM's by identifying and implementing a safety management plan and/or strategy consistent with the scale and complexity of the project, ensuring their contractors are following approved plans, thinking ahead, and enhancing the probability of no accidents on construction projects.

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Establish and maintain working relationship with the Engineering & Construction leadership team and project managers.
- Provide construction safety management expertise, advice, and counsel to Project Managers to enhance safety efforts of their contractors.
- Facilitate a culture of safety through positive methodologies.
- Ensure construction project specific safety management and compliance requirements are accurately identified in project/job plans and reflect Midstreams SIP requirements.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with contractors on construction projects.
- Provide/coordinate quarterly safety training to E&C office staff. (topics to vary)
- Regular travel to job sites is required and occasional contractor audits.
- Serve as central safety resource for Construction Inspectors. Assist in ensuring Inspector skill sets are sufficient for them to be our front line safety eyes on projects (training as required at times).

Qualifications
Position requires:

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Safety Management, or Construction Management preferred
- 10 years of experience with safety management for construction projects desired.
- Oil & gas (energy) industry project construction field experience required.
- Project Management/Leadership experience desired.
- CSP and/or OSHA OTI 500 series certificate desired.
