Job Summary:
The Systems Completion (SC") Lead is responsible for the development and execution of the Systems Completion plans on upstream projects. The SC process involves the interface and Handover from Construction at Mechanical Completion (Construction Completion), the direct ownership of Commissioning (Static & Dynamic) resulting in Turnover to Operations and providing assistance in Start-Up and Acceptance Testing efforts. The SC Lead position will be initially located in Houston, TX, supporting multiple projects during the planning phase. As projects mature and move to the execution phase, the SC Lead will be assigned to a specific project team to support the development of detailed SC plans and their subsequent execution in the field. These projects may be located in various regions of the world (Asia Pacific, West Africa, East/Western Canada, Middle East, US Gulf Coast).
Primary Job Function:
. Provide overall Systems Completion leadership and expertise to upstream projects.
. Support projects in developing SC plans (resource planning, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, system definitions, etc.)
. Lead the development of SC strategy for execution phase
. Liaise and interface with Quality, Construction, Start-Up, and Operations teams
. Steward execution of Systems Completion documentation submitted by EPC Contractors
. Support the development of Commissioning (Static & Dynamic) Management Procedures, Systems Acceptance Procedures/Progress Monitoring, Turnover and Completion Packages, Start-up and Operating Procedures.
. Verify that commissioning activities are appropriately planned, staffed and executed safely
. Coordinate systems completion staff who may be assigned to the commissioning campaign for the Company.
. Lead the Commissioning effort for Company in witnessing results of static and dynamic commissioning including FATs and SITs.
. Stewards performance of EPC Contractors to ensure satisfactory project completion quality is attained.
. Ensure systems MC, Commissioning, and Turnover documentation is completed
. Assist with the Turnover of facilities working with the Start up Team to achieve successful turnover, start- up, and acceptance by Operations.
. Develop plans and interfaces to ensure a safe and effective field completion phase and transition of systems to steady state operations.
. Responsible for stewardship of the Systems Completions Database and development of status tracking metrics and to manage SC execution
. Interface with Quality and Mechanical Completion Lead to ensure alignment between construction and commissioning requirements.
. Lead SC team to pull systems from Construction to transition from construction to systems completions
. Lead SC on all safety activities, helps develop and lead execution of SC safety initiatives
Job Requirements:
. An Engineering degree with a minimum of 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas processing
. In-depth knowledge of:
o Systems Completion practices
o Oil & Gas facilities commissioning and Start-Up operations
o Development of commissioning plans, procedures
. Previous successful leadership role in Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Operations planning
. Strong technical skills and judgment
. Strong understanding of Project execution, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning & Completion practices
. Demonstrated ability to develop successful working relationships and become a team player
. Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs
. Proficient with use of Systems Completions Databases
