Lead the ELSS function for the Southern and Central sub region of EMEA
Responsible for developing functional strategies that align with the Organization's business needs and leverage the corporate/sector/region strategic plans.
Responsible for driving the execution of the functional and sector strategic plans for the EMEA Region, including performance scorecard metrics and targets.
Through hands on deployment leverage the proven tools and processes of Eaton business systems (EBS) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) within the operational sites of EMEA; in order to drive performance excellence to improve regional competiveness and customer satisfaction as measured through Eaton's prescribed metrics and standard assessment practices.
Builds organizational capability across the ELSS function. Identifies and develops functional and leadership talent. Creates and executes the functional OCA for the Organization.
Champion the Eaton Lean Six Sigma System (ELSS) within EMEA. Oversee annual ELS 3.1 and Performance-Based (PBA) assessments with qualifying sites. Identify with divisional & site management appropriate action plans for smaller operational facilities.
Responsible for working with Sector, Plant and Divisional leadership in identifying high-priority areas for improvement from annual Plant level value Stream Mapping rounds: in order to ensure ELSS efforts are aligned to and fully support profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals.
Ongoing mentoring, evaluation and development of sector lean coordinators, plant lean coordinators, tool champions & experts against the ELSS Functional Competencies.
Coordinate and support the facilitation of a top-level training/ programme on ELSS tools and culture. Ensure that tools, resources and instructional materials are developed, updated as necessary and maintained to meet ongoing needs. Establish and maintain a library of detailed standard work documentation for running kaizen workshops.
Monitor the progress of the implementation, through sub regional lean councils and appropriate key-performance-indicators (KPIs). Identify & promote Best-Practices within EMEA and the Global Community of Practice. Conduct research focused on benchmarking world-class performance and utilize finds to recommend stretch targets to EMEA senior leadership.
Coordinate an annual effectiveness review of the ELSS deployment model to ensure continuous improvement in its approach.
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements
Six Sigma experience required to Green-belt level. Black-belt preferred.
A fluent and highly articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
Degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering, technical or related field.
International experience essential.
Multiple years experience in manufacturing necessary
Ability in English essential; French, Spanish, Italian or Eastern European languages would be a significant advantage
Analytical/Statistical Tools & Methods - Knowledge of a wide range of problem solving tools & methods, including statistics, combined with the ability to select & apply them to make data based decisions to sustain higher levels of process or product quality. Six Sigma experience required to Green-belt level.
Lean Six Sigma Sustainability experience of developing, deploying and maintaining site or multi site Lean/Six Sigma strategies, resulting in implementation plans with SMART goals that are linked to business strategy and profit plans.
Lean Tools - Intimate knowledge and ability to customize the deployment of Lean and transfer the knowledge of Lean based upon differing business environments through communications, training and Kaizen events.
Operations Processes - general operations processes capability and understanding of how manufacturing process decisions and logistics strategies integrate and support the business strategy. Multiple years experience in manufacturing necessary
