The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of problems in the field. Responsibilities:
* Cleans and maintains tools and equipment * Repairs minor leaks * Hangs lock-out tags on customer doors * Completes turn off/turn on of service for customers * Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion * Conducts routine equipment/maintenance tests * Cleans shop area as assigned * Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Other duties may be assigned Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year related experiences and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience . * Ability to write complete work orders * Ability to follow written and oral instructions * Willing to learn and help * Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable * Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Knowledge of the water/wastewater industry helpful
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds Able to climb ladders and stairways Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
