Operations/Technician II
Responsibilities Perform operations and maintenance tasks related to the operation of two 345 MMCFD cryogenic natural gas processing plants, a slug catcher, condensate stabilization unit, amine sweetening process, and residue compression. Support mechanical, instrumentation and control activities associated with turbines/compressors, amine systems, cryogenic plants, onshore/ offshore gathering, pipeline pigging tasks and measurement systems. Insure that these facilities are operating in a reliable, safe, and efficient manner within William's policy's and guidelines. Support O&M and capital projects as needed. Ensure proper records are created and kept in accordance with the company's System Integrity Plan, DOT and PSM regulations and support of the preventative maintenance program. Participate in data gathering, reporting functions, plant start-ups, plant shutdowns, maintenance tasks, O&M and capital budgeting process and assist in justifying future projects. Supervise the work efforts of maintenance crews of outside contractors. The candidate will be expected to become qualified to operate the cryogenic plant. Shift work and or on-call rotation required. The selected candidate must be able to successfully complete applicable DOT Operator Qualifications tasks to support other onshore and offshore Eastern Gulf of Mexico Williams operations.
Qualifications This position requires leadership skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and possess adequate PC skills. Must be willing to train to learn and fully utilize the EMPAC maintenance management program. Candidates should have good analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a working knowledge of the equipment that is found in the above mentioned facilities. The position may require the employee to ride in helicopters and boats, climb stairs, small towers, some lifting of objects over 50 pounds, and responding to call outs.
Knowledge and experience with measurement devices, instrumentation and electronics is a plus. The qualified candidate will have knowledge of and be willing to learn and develop in the Personnel Development Program. Must be available to work overtime during nights, weekends and holidays, and have the ability to work under limited supervision as needed.
To qualify as an Op Tech II or higher, the candidate must possess high level operational skills in at least one (1) of the following ten (10) Operational Functions: 1.) Pipeline Operations and Maintenance 2.) Measurement and EFM 3.) Instrumentation and Electronics 4.) Plant and Station Operations 5.) Rotating Equipment Maintenance 6.) Vessels and Mechanical Integrity 7.) Controls and PLCs 8.) Electrical Systems 9.) Field Dehydration and Hydrate Prevention 10.) Offshore Operations and Maintenance
This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the skills and qualification of the candidate.
