Technical Transfer Engineer (m/f)
Description:
D&E Technology Transfer is looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual to complement the MWD & LWD-Technology Transfer Team. This position is ideally suited for an individual with MWD & LWD experience and background in Earth sciences, to work in a group of Technical Transfer Engineers (based in Celle and Houston) in the challenging and stimulating environment of introducing new technology into themarket. This position will involve world-wide travel.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and supervises Technology Transfer of experimental, prototype and pilot tools & services developed at the Celle Technology Center (CTC) and Houston Technology Center (HTC) in this field.
· Collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Product Line Management to introduce new products and services to the field.
· Planning and assisting with prototype tool application/testing through direct liaison with Engineering and the deploying region.
· Ensuring that all pertinent performance and rig site/well data are collected and analyzed.
· Capturing and documenting field test results and lessons learned through field test reports, case histories and various databases (AKS, FRACAS, TAOnline, MaPS, etc.)
· The generation of technical documentation.
· Development of technical training for operators and local support personnel new to the product. A close cooperation with the training department is a must to facilitate adequate resources of trained field service engineers.
· Interfacing with customers for explanation of service capabilities and tool operation.
· Support introduction of new tools/services, internally and externally with clients.
· Validation of product/service quality using industry accepted methods.
· Participating in design reviews, gate meetings, and steering teams.
· Actively promotes HS&E and High Performance culture.
Knowledge:
· Strong geological, petroleum engineering or petrophysical back ground preferred.
· Understanding of D&E’s products and services.
· Ability to recognize, analyze and solve technical issues.
· Understanding internal and external customer requirements.
· Technical writing skills (English).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as Presentation Skills are required.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Earth Science or other Engineering discipline.
· A minimum of 3 years experience in LWD operations, is preferred, however other relevant work experience will be looked at as to offset non-LWD field experience.
